It’s fascinating how the combination of snow, sledding, decorations, baked goods and the anticipation of celebration can bring a renewed sense of childlike wonder to us all. Despite the labor that snow & ice add to a commute and workday, Christmas is a very special time at each of our Youth Homes.

Staff Appreciation Christmas Party!

We gathered together for a time of celebrating our amazing staff team. It is always so good to get the team together to share stories and laughter. With 4 separate houses running, we value the moments where our whole group comes together to encourage one another!

The House Managers passed out the “Sourcies” Awards, which got everyone laughing. The funny inside stories that brought context to each award was the best part!

Meet Our Staff

Chris has worked at the source for 3 years, and has been on staff at 3 of our four homes! She came on initially as line staff then became a weekend manager,and is now one of our program managers at Grace House.

“ I decided to work for The Source because I wanted to help youth to not go down the same path I did. I wanted to work towards something bigger then just myself.

“An aspect of The Sources culture that I really connect with is how much it feels like a family. The connection between both staff and the children is something I've never experienced before. It feels like a second home.

“ I have learned at my time with The Source that there are no such things as bad children, or that there are no such things as lost causes. I have witnessed children flourish in an environment of love and understanding and meeting them where they are at.

Chris’ own story is one of overcoming the odds and walking in strength and humilty. She is inspiring to all who know her.

We are deeply grateful for all the she contrubites to our calling and purpose here. Her sense-of-humor, perseverance and reliablity have made an enormous impact to the Source and all the young people she has worked with!
