"By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another."
John 13:35
Who We Are:
We are the community connection team of The Source Spokane. We are a diverse group of people who wholeheartedly love Jesus. We want to reflect the heart of our King. We are of different ages, ethnicities, backgrounds, experiences, and skills, willing to share who we are and what we have to offer, bound together with a burden and drive to love others as Jesus has loved us. We provide ongoing opportunities to bring hope and healing to vulnerable people in our community. All that we feel burdened to do is based on our love and devotion to Jesus and leading of the Holy Spirit.
What We Do:
We create healthy communities that offer life-long support, encouragement, and whole person development for high-risk youth and those vulnerable within the local community, through ongoing relational partnerships with individual volunteers, groups, organizations, and churches.
How We Do It:
We educate and empower individual volunteers, groups, organizations, and churches, to relationally provide affirmation, support and encouragement to at-risk youth and vulnerable persons seeking whole life (mental, physical, spiritual, skills) development and life-long connection and community.
How You Can Volunteer
Prayer
This is the first line of defense in each team. You can subscribe to our monthly newsletters to receive specific prayer points & updates in order to support our vision in this crucial way.
Outreach
These are the hands and feet on the streets that will find, minister to, and connect those wanting a different life with appropriate mentors.
Mentor
This is the long-term relational piece that will help those brought from the darkness learn to walk in the light.
All of these pieces work together to create a complete team that will serve our community as one. Jesus walked closely with his disciples through fellowship and in community. We believe the key to success is to follow in our King’s footsteps. We will walk closely in fellowship and serving each other while helping the displaced.
